Sports Hair of the Week

In an effort to give the sport of boxing some much needed love, longtime promoter, money man and sleaze bag extraordinaire Don King takes home the Ricky Vaughn 99 Sports Hair of the Week Award. In an era where heavyweight boxing is at its weakest with limited prime time fighters, King still manages so keep his name in the news and haul in the dough. A dropout of Kent State University, King does not have the squeaky clean past some may assume. King ran an illegal bookmaking operation and was charged in two separate murder investigations, one of which he was convicted of second degree murder (which was later pleaded down to manslaughter) and served four years in prison. Over the years, King has been sued by many boxers, the likes of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Tim Witherspoon, Chris Byrd and Lennox Lewis.

When asked about his historic Celebrity Deathmatch loss to fellow 'Great Hair Guy' Donald Trump, King uttered the following statement, "God bless America, ladies and gentlemen! Bless this wonderful nation and all who live within its fine borders. Trump thinks his hair is better than mine? False! Ain't nobody can compete with Don King, I am the champion of the world!" After giving this exclusive interview, King excused himself before heading out for a night out on the town with former New York State Senator Eliot Spitzer and his harem.
